Chapped lip care can be annoying. And somehow, they keep coming back no matter how much lip care balm you apply.

The lips are not the same as the skin on your body. Because of the lack of oil glands, they dry out quickly and stay that way if you don’t care for them properly. We can quickly dehydrate and can even damage our skin barrier just by changing the weather, licking our lips too often, and much more.

I once believed lip care was sufficient for lips. No, it isn’t. While this helps, if the basics aren’t right, you’re just reapplying all day and wondering why nothing is changing.

These are the things that truly make a difference.


The importance of caring for lip care

You immediately notice when your lip care wears off.

They start to peel, feel tight, and can even sting. My lipstick doesn’t sit right, and even smiling hurts. Once you get into this pattern, it’s not something you fix in a couple of hours.

The majority can be reduced to a few simple things: dehydration, weather, as well as habits we don’t even realize we have. What’s the good news? Once you tend to those, your lip care respond fairly quickly.
